Collective Bargaining Process

Tesoro has been engaged in collective bargaining with the United Steelworkers (USW) local representatives for six of our seven refineries including Anacortes, WA; Kapolei, HI; Los Angeles, CA; Mandan, ND; Martinez, CA; and Salt Lake City, UT. Our company has put forth a settlement offer at each location consistent with the terms of the national pattern agreement already accepted by the refining industry and the international USW. Negotiations resulted in a vote to ratify the contract at our Kapolei, Salt Lake City and Mandan refineries. We continue to bargain in good faith at the other locations and work toward ratification of all agreements.

Update: Mandan Refinery Ratification Statement (5/16/2012)

United Steelworkers (USW) local representatives at Mandan notified Tesoro Mandan management on Wednesday (May 16) evening that their membership has voted to ratify our most recent contract settlement offer.

We are pleased with this outcome. This is the third of our refineries to vote for ratification of our offer, including Kapolei, HI, Salt Lake City, UT, and now Mandan, ND.  We continue to bargain in good faith at our Anacortes, WA; Los Angeles, CA; and Martinez, CA refineries, and look forward to ratification of all agreements.
